A Crowe Event!

The weekend of 4/25/09 was filled of celebration and couldn't be more happy that our seregant family The Crowe's was able to celebrate with them the marriage of Claire Crowe! Claire is my boss and Mark's old boss, making sense yet??? lol daughter and my close friend/co-worker. She was married at the St. Paul Cathedral on Saturday afternoon it was a lovely ceremony. Claire was actually Mark's boss too at one point so we have quite the history with this family since I started working for them in 2005.

After the ceremony we celebrated in Downtown St. Paul at The Lowry Theater actually where Tony & Tina's wedding is being held for shows. The Lowry is a second home to us so enjoying a reception we had no problem celebrating! We did close or shall I say I helped close down the dance floor as usual, but enjoyed seeing this family celebrate especially after what they've been through since 2007 (if you know May 2007was the month of infamy). For those who ask we handled seeing you know who rather well and then some!

I do have to give myself a "Happy Belated Gotcha Day" as I did get to share that celebration too that same day! The dress I'm wearing in the picture was a gift for my "Gotcha Day" from my parents, thanks guys!

Zumba Fundraiser 4/18/09

This past weekend was amazing! Saturday I participated (not instructing) at Anoka County's Fundraiser for Sexual Awareness Program. We did a Zumba Master Class for 1 1/2 hours raising over $2,000 for it's organization!!!

I've put a picture of the participants and myself included. I'm in the front behind instructors in a turquoise tank top & black pants. Zumba has changed my life the last six months and look forward to being more involved in the Zumba-Minnesota family. After discussing the 2009 Zumba Convention in Orlando, FL with fellow instructors, it is a goal of mine to get to this convention!! The Zumba-MN family seems to be so excited to represent our state!!

The different styles, rhythms, and work-out benefits of Zumba just keep growing in this profession, so I'm going for the glory to specialize in Zumba Toning and Zumba Aqua. The convention is over Labor Day Weekend, it's definitley not a vacation besides the two Certifications I will be doing several styles from: Brazilian, African, Mambo, Boracha...specialty classes. It will be worth it and look forward having one heck of a Zumba Party in September!

Ditch the workout,
Join the Party!!

North Carolina....come on raise up!

After posting our last blog on Thursday, later that same day a great new adventure was planned! From May 6th to May 10th I will be visiting my best friend Emily "Herrlein" Johnson down in Raeford, NC. She has lived in several different parts of the U.S. and really enjoys living in NC. so I had to visit. I'm already getting grief as I was just in Las Vegas (just over 6 months ago) for my birthday, but Uncle Sam's paying me back for all my hard work last year for this trip!! This is the closest I've waited before booking my trip so I'm all excited and cannot wait to be in the 80 degree weather with my close friend since Jr. High. I'm on countdown 23 Days!

Also another news flash: CONGRATS to Bethany Thompson (Mark's cousin) and Sean on their engagement and also my close friend Lori Powell and Sheldon for their engagement announcement too! Wahoo!

Decisions are the worst when a calendar has only 4 weekends!

It's official, I finally would like to say there's not enough time in a month! Most would agree that it's the time in a day we don't have. For us we go by month :) When planning events its never easy with three families to organize where we should go for holidays or in this case "holy day" to see, but I think we've finally got it nailed down after six years.

We're spending Easter at Mark's Dad's house with the whole Thompson Family! Grandma & Grandpa, Aunts & Uncles, and cousins will be their too. We're looking forward to catching up since Christmas. Mark's cousin Aimee & Trevor we're awaiting this week to hear if Aimee would go towards full term on her second pregnancy and from what Aimee said she was not induced on Monday, so Alexis could make it all the way :) Good luck you guys!

As March ended, I think our mind set for future events did as well. With our close friends being in town and one still (Matt) we've been flying by the seat of our pants holding on real tight until he leaves lol. So the last few weeks have been awesome!

We have been going through our calendar for Summer, yes I said Summer, and can already see it completely booked, how awesome is that! You thought I would say sad, but nope we're very content with living it up as possibly next summer may not be as free (wink wink). Our plans to Chicago are on the fritz due to the Twins Game down that weekend being ever so popular. But depending on an invitation to Detroit, Michigan that same weekend we may opt to this as we've never been and a new adventure for both of us to this Redbull Air Show with Sam and Lindsay would be sweet!

I have to drop a line in about last weekend. Annie our roommate was out of town and I think I returned back to being one of the guys again! Mark probably had the most man bonding and fun weekend he's had in a long time. Just so happens I didn't mind or even notice everything I did was what you call a typical guy activity. Friday we went to St. Paul to watch the Wild Game at Micah's with friends, Saturday early day we went and saw "Fast & Furious 3", played Guitar Hero Metallica all afternoon with Matt, went to the Gasthaus with Matt & Nate and my parents for a brew, went back to play more Guitar Hero, Mark fell asleep lol while I watched UFC fights with Nate and Matt. Sunday a.m. was waking up to another Wild Game! Now nothing feminine was happening but I didn't even care it was awesome, turns out I've probably always been like this I just figured it out myself, no wonder why Mark loves me hehe!!

We're so excited for April to be here lots is happening: a wedding, Easter, my friend Natalie's & Emily's bday, and of course the end of this month is my "Gotcha Day". So parents if your reading this remember, I love my "Gotcha Day" and need to celebrate my other birthday with you to :) Mark had to take a mandatory week off from work this week, but has kept himself busy, when you see him next ask him how his backs doing...not a happy camper this week I'm afraid.

This coming week we will be going to our first Twins game of the season next Friday, April 17Th with our friends. I set up sort of a "send off" type deal since Matt's leaving the following Wednesday. We'll be tailgating starting at 4:30, Mark's first mission is to get me a new t-shirt last years is a big towel on me now yay!!! However that towel will be cut into a patch for my quilt I would like to make out of all my old sweatshirts and favorite t-shirts that no longer fit. I hope I can get Momma Holly to help me out with that sometime this next fall.

Speaking of Momma Holly! Bless your soul for getting through another tax season and still sane...at least I think she is ;) we're going to celebrate with her in the a.m. on Easter with our favorite bloodies (is that okay on a holy day?) lol

Oh, let's all wish Bemidji State good luck in the Frozen Four in D.C., my sister Sam that die hard fan, just sent me a text from their and looks like the Beavers have taken over down there! How great is it as I know several family members on both sides of Mark and I's went to Bemidji so this is historical, GO BEAVERS!

P.S. Speaking of sports we start volleyball in two weeks, watch out cause "Ballin' Dirty" will be hitting the courts down in Lakeland!!!

Until another chapter....
