Traditions and Missions!!

NEWS!!!

Our Outdoor Boccee Ball Tournament is this upcoming weekend at Brine's Restaurant, YES!~ For those who haven't participated, its what I said Outdoor Boccee Ball from the wee a.m. Saturday to the early a.m. Sunday, if your team succeeds that is. This is our second year attending and Mark will be playing and myself a spectator aka cute supporter in my winter's best!

For those of you who know Mark and I don't have much in common with our winter activities, but this one event I am willing to compromise because lots of friends all over Stillwater particpate and its a great reunion and I get to kick back some very well deserved brews!!! (Down 35lbs :P )

Now NEWS!!! Before Boccee Saturday we will be enjoying a great celebration dinner with my sister (possibly could be) Claire Mielke-Rogness and husband Bryant. Claire I have known since I arrived here in MN as a baby. She is also adopted from in fact the same city as I was and have been friends ever since.

Claire was just accepted into a Pediatric Residency for Dentistry in Denver, Colorado. They will be moving in June. We so enjoy spending couple time together and will miss them lots as they only live in Mahtomedi. They will return back to MN possibly in the future. This of course sparked Mark and I's idea's for a road trip to see them and then may have the opportunity to visit Durango, Colorado again where my Cousin Aran & Wife Nicole live.

As much as I am very lonely without a lot of my close friends living in MN anymore this always opens up the opportunity to travel, experience new adventures together as friends, and see my friends happier. So Congrats to Claire & Bryant!

Our next mission will be Grand Marais the following weekend, have I told how excited I am to bust out of DODGE! lol

February 2009 a new month to tackle!

Speaking of tackle we enjoyed a delicious Super Bowl at Holly's last evening and also gathering to celebrate her birthday! Food galore, drinks, and lots of laughter would make this day a new tradition! Not only do we enjoy our Football Mondays with Holly throughout the regular season, but Super Bowl with our parents was awesome. My parents came over to celebrate as well. We were able to plot our upcoming events this year; our trip to Chicago and our visits up to the cabin too, it's going to be a great year!

On Saturday evening we were able to enjoy great times with some of our oldest friends. When Mark and I first met we had a group of friends we ran with and as the years go by things have changed as some friendships do. But also we have kept in touch and when we can gather we get back in the o'l routine anytime we see each other. A group of us were out at our friend Micah & Jeremiah Peterson's 27Th Birthday Party celebration in St. Paul. They had a live band in party room and lots of people and of course lots of dancing happened (See pics) it was great to be all together again!

This month of course I look forward to Valentine's Day only because its a great excuse to spend time only with Mark and we get to eat a delicious meal together! The next week two of our friends have birthdays and we'll be heading to Hastings for a celebration. Also planning for our Grand Marais visit will be fun and nice to get away just the two of us. We hope to get in contact with my cousin Hans to stop by and visit baby Tae too. We will start our indoor volleyball on Thursday nights just to get out and prepare for this summer's volleyball season. I'm looking for info for Mark to play indoor Softball at the recreation center and also planning on a softball league. Lots to do and plan for just to add some new excitement to our lives and keep being active when we would rather bundle in until Spring.

Until next time...

Mark & Sara
