Almost February...time to plot!

Howdy!

The New Year is going as expected, were bored! Nah, I think were just looking towards Spring and I can see that Mark is itching a bit at home. I've been teaching and subbing lots of classes this month, so my schedule is very packed. At this time Mark is a bit stir crazy and hopes to get a bit busier at work, but will not complain...too much :) he's just a hard worker and enjoys being busy :)

To catch up I will post a picture from our Thompson Cousin Party we had. It was so much fun spending time with Aimee, Trevor, Dustin, Bethany, and Ashley. We played games and ate pizza and Bethany stayed over night with us and enjoyed a great time! I think we'll be planning another gathering here soon since everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Now that it's nearing the end of January many great things have happened already. Just last weekend we were able to spend some time with my Aunts & Uncles on my Mother's side of the family. We enjoyed yumm-o chili curtosy of Mamma Ross and enjoyed the afternoon. My Aunt Margaret & Uncle Bruce (Mom's Brother) live in Winona and both retired last year and they look so happy and relaxed. My Aunt Gail & Uncle George (Mom's Sister) aka the world travelers, came down from Grand Marais were they moved a few years ago too. We can say my Aunt Gail is a great conversationist and I always learn something as she is retired History Teacher from St. Crox Catholic. My Uncle George can always give up those quick laughs and I just love his sense of humor!

We mentioned our proposal of the floating dock up at Fairview (the cabin) was discussed and approved, so I can't wait to have that project going for us come Memorial Day weekend!! Mark and I have also made plans to visit Gail & George at the end of February up in Grand Marais. Mark is planning on snowboarding, while he's off at Lutsen I will be kicking it with my Aunt & Uncle on either a snow shoeing adventure or hike, we can't wait!

Speaking of trips to get over any pre-winter blues or boo's we're starting to plan our trip to Chicago, IL for Mark's 27th birthday celebration. This will be a short road trip, but we have lots we'd like to do while visiting so anyone know of places you have to see send us an email.

Upcoming Winter Trips: visit Samantha in Bemidji in February, visiting an old friend in Freeport for a girls weekend w/ Annie in March, Mark will head to Alexandria to visit his college friend, Grand Marais, and who know's where else!

We hope your New Year is going well!

Luv & Hugs,

Mark & Sara
